![]() ![]() ![]() Several users, such as u/BenHero022 and u/Doumtabarnack, reported that they had the same problem with Series X controllers on older XBox systems. They claim that changing the system's power mode to "Power Saving" helped in reducing the number of disconnects. Some people suggested this might be a system power-related problem. U/BenHero022 suggests that playing with the controller physically connected also prevents the problem. If it happens to you when replacing batteries, there are reports that holding the Xbox button and powering the controller off before swapping the batteries prevents it from desyncing (reported by u/ThatOtherGuy_CA). I always turn it OFF when I leave it alone, even if its for a short time. I managed to avoid the problem by not leaving the console ON and idle. Suggestions that may help avoid the problem To restart the controller you might need to take the batteries out and return them. If you experience this, the sure way to fix it and reconnect is to restart the console (I use the phone app to do that). Then reboot the console and try re-syncing the controller. Note: if you see this behavior, try reconnecting the controller to the console via USB/Wireless or if possible connect another controller and submit feedback.
